Position Overview:
Our growing elder law firm is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant & Receptionist to support our Northside office. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple responsibilities with efficiency, and maintains a positive, client-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer phones
- Greet and welcome clients to our office
- Process, scan, and electronically file legal documents
- Schedule meetings with clients
- Process and distribute incoming mail
- File and organize client documents
- Assist with various administrative tasks
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience as a legal assistant or administrative assistant
- Familiarity with legal procedures, particularly in estate planning, Medicaid, and more
- Strong moral character, sound judgment, and a professional demeanor
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities, with experience juggling high volumes of clients and cases
- Ability to supervise and delegate to administrative staff as needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking skills to assess and meet individual client needs
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with discretion

We specialize in elder law, estate planning, guardianship, probate, real estate and litigation. Our firm is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate (1-3 years of experience) who is eager to develop their litigation skills while working on guardianship, probate, and related litigation matters.
Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct legal research and apply relevant information to cases.
• Independently manage workload and active client cases with sound judgment.
• Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
• Represent clients in guardianship, probate, and other litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Participate in depositions, mediations, and court hearings.
• Assist in trial preparation and trial proceedings.
• Engage in client education and community outreach programs as needed.
• Maintain case organization and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff to efficiently manage cases.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of litigation experience (guardianship and probate experience preferred but not required).
• Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of clients and cases with strong organization and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and legal research tools.
• Excellent judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to delegate and manage administrative staff effectively.
Education & Licensing:
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Indiana (or ability to obtain reciprocity if licensed in another state).
